About Dr. MaryHelen Gustafson
When I am not treating clients…
I love to be outside.
MaryHelen Gustafson, DPT crossing the finish line at the 2021 Narragansett Blessing of the Fleet 10-Mile Roadrace.
I have a passion for movement and this has inspired my career in physical therapy.
I have been a distance runner since freshman year of high school, ran shortly at the college level, accomplished 2 marathons, 1 sprint distance triathlon, open water distance swimming and consider myself a life long runner and athlete. I am not driven by performance or medals but how I feel. I love the freedom of jumping in the ocean or hitting the pavement, I am new to the lifting world and believe strength training is too often overlooked. I wish to carry my joy in movement over to you and your athletic and movement goals.
I am married with 3 kids — two sons and a daughter. As a family we love to play outside together and take long hikes in the woods. We also love the beach and it is amazing to watch my kids learn to swim, kayak and paddle board and appreciate the ocean as much as I do.
